Built on a spirit of entrepreneurship, Volcán de mi Tierra (Volcano of my land) pays homage to and is named after a real volcano that sits in the lowlands of Jalisco, Mexico, "Volcán de Tequila".
Volcán de mi Tierra Blanco delivers an austere and herbaceous flavour spectrum from the lowlands agave, blended with finesse, citrus and floral notes of the highlands, an expression of the terroir of Jalisco and Guadalajara. Blanco is best enjoyed mixed into cocktails or served neat.
Made from 75% slow-roasted lowland agave heated in a traditional stove for 44 hours before being crushed on a stone wheel, it is then blended with 25% highlands agave that has been cooked for 12 hours. The latter holds more water but has a lower density of fibers, yielding a fruitier flavour. The mixture is distilled in a copper still, before being distilled again in stainless steel and left to rest for 30 days.
